These are substantially different in spoke dimension (thickness etc).

this is what an 18x10.5 +18 looks like with the widebody. About a solid 25-26mm space between the fender and rim.

To my knowledge, i'm the first to fit an 18x12 on an evo period.

aaaaaannndddd here's a shot in the sun to showcase the awesomeness of the illusion purple

yeah, I saw that thread... I'd still be scared to run it... but thats just me.
one of my local tracks is quite dangerous as far as run off room goes, there's only one corner that you might come out ok, everything else I'm getting injured if I go off

Well if its any consolation, there's a 2011 mustang in Texas that ran time attacks for a few years in a row on 18x12 forgestars. They had a full compliment of aero and ran 345 hoosier A7's. The s197 mustangs are 3800 with out the driver, and the dude reset some records here. Basically what i'm trying to say, is i think i'll be fine

Nice man. I like the purple. A friend has a similar color on his white X.

What kind of whp are you running? That seems like a LOT of tire. I would think the weight/roll resistance would be working against you.

They ballasted up the car because of the power it put out since the class is regulated by hp/weight. It also had full interior and such, but those cars depending on mods are a solid 200 lbs heavier than an evo.
