Nissan takes 34% controlling stake in Mitsubishi
Step 1: Make a modular platform that is shared across Renault, Nissan, and Mitsubishi (similar to what VW has done with the MQB platform)
Step 2: Integrate EV technology that Mitsubishi has developed through the MiEV Pikes Peak cars.
Step 3: Profit.

The cheating at Mitsubishi appears to have been exposed by an unexpected source: another Japanese carmaker, Nissan Motor. http://www.nytimes.com/2016/04/21/bu...ests.html?_r=0
Causing stock price to plummet. Then Nissan swoops in and buys a controlling interest.
Well played Nissan, well played.

Isn't the States the biggest car market in the world? So why can't a big bunch of Americaaans get together and send Nissan a message to bring back the Evo!! Wasn't there a partition done here a while back? It might be sitting in some empty mitsu office at the bottom of a locked draw, like the x files, the truth is out there and Nissan needs to put something up that can stem the flood of new wrx's that are flooding the market place and the Evo is the only car that can do that!!
I'd tell them but coming from an Aussie, Mr Nismo would just laugh and say he doesn't get out of bed for the amount of cars sold in Australia!!!

The Evo was built as a limited production car right up to the X. So the market is pretty slim now--bringing the EVO back aint gonna happen- no profit in it. To drive the rev Nissan would want to see to keep it--would equal the gtr. What other car is in the mitsu lineup that Nissan doesn't beat in the same class vehicle? None, I would say. If they eat Mitsu, they would be buying access to other mitsu lines outside automotive..
