Hi. I was wondering if anyone have relocated their rear bolts for the rear bumper on the Evo 8&9?
I put on my 18x9.5 with 255-35-18 tires on my Evo 8 with jdm Evo 9 rear bumper.
I did a fender roll for my rear and it was ok. It didn't rub my tires on normal driving. But if there is a big bump on the highway, my tires would rub on the rear bolts of the rear bumper.
I wanted to know if anyone else have this problems.
If anyone did a rear bolt relocate, can you show some how-to to show me how to do it please.

This is a pretty common thing to do in the rear for people who run 9"+ wide wheels.


1. Drill out a new hole roughly 2" back from the OEM spot (roughing out the size of the hole from the OEM one).

2. Move the bolt to that location or fasten it in some other manner (zip ties could work).

3. Take your cutter and start shaving off the OEM bolt location, a little bit at a time.

4. (Optional) I taped off the surrounding area and sprayed it with some anti-rust black paint to cover the newly exposed metal.
