Check my timing

Hey guys...been having issues with my car. It sounds like a Subaru and the compression test is coming out low evenly across the board. I've done some other stuff so now I was just looking for a quick timing check.

Engine is a 2.1L, 63 head with a 64 block, but I'm not positive what belt the shop used. Stock MIVEC cam gear and a Fidanza on the exhaust.

Any ideas if this timing is right? Didn't take a pic of the crank but I made sure that the crank lined up perfectly before I took the cam pics.

running a mivec head on a 4g64 block, dont you have to tune the mivec gear to correct?
have you done that.?

Post pics of crank/balance belt timing marks.

I believe that a 64 block requires a different belt and a modified mivec gear. Only way of knowing if the gear is modified is by removing the front cover.

Crank is dead on timing when I took this pic and the balance belt would be hard to get to while the engine is still in the car. Either way, the balance shaft is deleted.

I can remove the cover but what exactly am I looking for to see if it's modified?

Thanks

Which belt did you use? the evo belt is a bit shorter so the cam marks won't line up perfectly.. I can't remember exactly but they will be off like 2.5* or something like that.

here you go man, I looked it up:

timing is incorrect, you are at 0*/0*... you need to go 1 tooth retarded on mivec gear & 3.75 degrees retarded on the exhaust cam gear if using a 4G63 Belt

OK how can I tell which belt I have? The previous shop installed it and I don't remember what they installed.

Thanks

count the teeth on it if it doesnt have a part number.
Im sure you can find how many teeth are on a 4g63 vs a 64 with a quick search.
the 4g64 has 1 more tooth than the 4g63 I think.

looks good to me. Might be off by few degrees. Dont think this would cause a misfire tho. I think your issue is elsewere.
