Its the +18 that gives that set up the poke. Im running a +30 which is almost 1/2" difference inboard.
If you look at my car from the rear, you see the 275" width, but its all tucked under fender

Using the poormans Rota P45R 17x9.5 +30 on the street & the Advan RGII 17x9 +29 on the track (no spacers for either wheel)
I've tracked Rotas. Maybe not the lightest wheel, but I had no problems. I'd rather have a Rota than a spacer. The Advan would be fine.. but kinda narrow for a 275 tire.

On the street, I ran the Nitto NT05 275's on the Advan's & it was just fine. The side wall was just about square w/the wheel. On the track, I ran the 255/40 Nitto NT01's on them
The Advans weigh approx 16.9lbs. The Rota's are over 20, but have worked very well on the street. Powder coating them was like adding a tuxedo & giving them a much richer look

LOL I hear that. Well... a 255 nitto is what I'd want to run. It's wide for a 255. Fit fine on the Advans, then?
Anyone know what offset is needed to clear inner coilovers and lower control arms for:
* 17x12 rim
* 335/35 tire
* Widebody kit will handle the outer demensions
Currently have 17x10 +38offset with 295/35. Works perfect. Spacers up front.
If do a widebody, trying to figure out what works.
^^^17x12. That is an over fender spec for sure. You must be AX'ing
I think the answer posted in the Comp forum just about summed it up. Anything over a 10" wide wheel involves serious rear fender body work (i.e. overfenders)

don't NEED wisefab to make 315's fit. the trailing arm is the only part really needed. from there its just cutting and getting your offset just right.
can i run 18x9.5 +22 (ce28sl...) on my evo without needing much modification? I have rolled the rears, would run 265/35-18 which, total diameter wise, is actually almost identical to stock 235/45-17. was the rear tab that people need to shave though?

Heres an overlay of your spec vs what I run. Keep in mind, I had to rear roll, pull & do the bumper bolt relocate to get this to fit w/out any rub (also running -1.9 degrees of rear camber)
Your proposal is 8mm further outboard (.314" diff)
If this is just a show fit, they I would say, go for it, but if you plan on aggressive driving I would say this is way too aggressive

thx Joe - can you help me understand again why the rear bumper thing is needed, if the overall diamater of the tire is the same as stock? does it shift the position of the wheel backward? or just out enough that it's in contact with the bolt, which it wouldn't have been before?
i'd really liek to run the +35 ce28sl's, but i don't know about the clearance to the caliper. theoretically the X caliper should clear but it's still a risk to take. as you know I autocross so it's probably the most aggressive of aggressive driving

It has to do w/the offset. The shallower we go (more outboard) the tire gets in the way of the bumper bolt

Not sure Sam. I searched that size /offset but did not get a hit. If it fits the X it should fit the 9?
But the +35 is a huge help in fitment. You can do w/out the rear roll & maybe the bumper bolt move
thanks bud, that's what i'm thinking.
the weds tc105n in 18x9.5 +35 will clear the evo x brakes, but i guess all wheels are different. but yea if it fits the x it should fit the 9 (w X brakes). the modification doesn't change the position of the caliper but i think the x caliper is pushed out nonetheless.
i already have the rear roll but not the bumper bolt. and yea 265/35-18 isn't too crazy as far as tire width. i'm running 255/40-17 on my 17x9.5 +38 or w/e right now, they fit fine
