I got a good deal on some work Kiwami's 18x9.5 +38 but don't know the size of the spacer needed to clear brembos.

I cannot find the answer ANYWHERE.

I hear minimum the offset needs to be +20 to clear brembos but kiwami reps clear STI brembos at +34.

Am so confused! Someone please help!

+38 is the stock offset but as you noted, these wheels will need spacers. Is there a way you can test fit these? If you can, the spacer size can be approximated

Let me know if you have the wheels in your possession

I will be test fitting them this weekend to get an approximation but was hoping that in the mean time someone would know!

The only real way to know is if someone had run that wheel or if there is a thread on that same spec. I am not familiar w/that particular wheel

Buy yourself some washers from the hardware store & stack them up on 2 of the studs, opposite each other to determine how much distance you need to clear. If you get beyond 25mm, I would stop & call it a day, & find another wheel

Hopefully you will just need a spacer less than 1" or 25mm

Heres an old thread on these wheels. Not much help, but the former vendor commenting on some fitment questions: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...cave-face.html

Keep us posted on what happens!

Sam
The 275 is a great tire size for the 9.5" wheel, but this will need the usual suspects in mods (slight rear fender pull, roll, bumper bolt relocation)

I run almost that same spec (17x9.5 +30 w/275/40's). Your +34 gains a minimal .157" of inboard clearance over what i run.

We just need to find you a good body & suspension shop that can do the work or it certainly can be one in the home garage

So they shipped the incorrect tire? or are they like Federals that run a size wide?

In any event, curious what your thoughts will be regarding fit when you get them mounted

Hard to get the full perspective in pics, but 275's look nice and meaty from the rear. Been running this set-up almost 10 years

It does take some relatively serious rear fender work to get these to fully clear w/zero rub

yea i'm 265/35 on 18x9.5 +34 - i think it'll be ok as far as fender work with the roll but i'm more worried about contacting the suspension.

fitment on the evo is tough

On the bright side it don't really require a very high offset like Honda do

Im getting ready to pull the trigger on a set of wheels to finish off my build and have searched and searched for answers to my fitment questions to no avail so if anyone can help me out I would greatly appreciate it.
I have an Evo 8 and want either NT03's, Esr sr6 or sr9s.
Question is what is the most aggressive wheel/tire combo I can run without rolling or pulling the fenders at all 17 or 18".

Thanks in advance for any help..
