I felt it was time for a road trip. I have wanted to go on one for a long time. And recently, things just fell into place. So I took the car in for its 10k mile service and hit the road the next day... No maps, no idea of what will be going on tomorrow, just a destination in mind.. (((I live in Chicago)))

I am heading down to West Palm Beach Florida to see some friends, drink, sun, and relax for a few days, weeks - Not really sure yet.

Then I am off to Sarasota Florida (West Coast) to hang with some friends, drink, sun, and relax for a few days...

After that I am off to Houston Texas, by Fathers Day (The 18th of June) to see the family ( http://www.davidandbelynda.com ). I can't wait to see the niece and nephews . Along with my parents and brother of course, well that’s what I tell them ....

I will probably be there until the end of July, or.. ya probably until then..
Then after that I will might be off to Carolina for the Shootout, or maybe to California, and perhaps both. Not really sure yet.

Just want to go do something I would not normally do, see things from a new angle, make some new friends (any folks want to meet up on my travels?). Simply put, enjoy my life a bit more.


What is the point of this Thread?

Not really sure yet, just going to post some pics from my journey and keep up appearances, er.. conversations with some of you, or anyone who wants to chime in. Hope to meet some of you on the trip; I will be on 75 and then 95, most of the way down to WPB, (I am allready in Georgia), then Alligator Alley on my way to Sarasota.

Any thoughts concerning what I should see on my trip?

On the way home I am going to visit the Makers Mark distillery in Kentucky, as well as the Jack Daniels distillery in Tennessee. I will also be going to Rock City in Tennessee to see the waterfall which is suppose to be awesome.

I am now in Texas - Pronounced --- *****- A**.
It is so hot and humid here in Texas the car feels like it is in sand. S-L-O-W...
And the drive rocked. From Chicago - to WPB - to Sarasota - to Houston. I will probably be here for a while, at least until July or August. I have only seen three Evo's during my trip. One in WPB, one while driving around Lake Okechobee, and another here in Houston. Where are the evo owners! Well I will post some pics later, I am taking pics on my camera phone and I do not have the chord with me to interface with the computer. Talk to my self later.. .. .

Hello Hector, Congrats on the Healthy Birth? I have not seen you in a while. Thanks for the response, although I still feel like I am talking to myself sometimes. 13,500 on the car now, had the oil changed at a local Mitsu dealer. Going to DHM Day in Careena Texas, its posted in the southern region forum - July 1st. The trip has been awesome so far. Family time is nice, but we all need our space. Just a reminder why I dont want to live here in Texas. On another note I went to see Tokyo Drift tonight... It was actually pretty good, relative to what I conceived it was going to be like. Expect another in the future, money, money, money. Poor Evo, now fools are going to be trying the stunts they saw in the movie.
