Question Throttle cable relocation question.

How does one relocate the stock throttle cable so it does not go over the top of the valve cover? Do you need to replace the throttle body to an after market?
Thanks for the help!

Image for you:

Used the cable holder that orig. holds the cable at the front of the valve cover. Moved that back to the ACD solenoid and mounted it there. Reattached cable - done.

thanks for the help. If you have any more pics, please post them. Maybe a close up of where you connect the bracket from the front of the valve cover. Thanks!

Its easy to do, you just gotta flip it under the strut bar.

I did this mod before and the EVO guys from my local EVO forum advised me to put it back to the stock location.

Reason: The positioning of the cable may cause the line to bind or something.....

I dont know....

can anyone else chime in ?

mine has never... knock on wood.... and its been like that for over a year now.

you arent crimping the line, you are simply moving it to the back.... it literally took me 10 minutes if that

You can see in my picture (sorta) how I mounted the cable holder to the firewall where the ACD solenoid hooks up. And also the 2 zipties on my strut bar are to hold the cable right there. I though about binding or rubbing so I just when ahead and ziptied them to be sure Id have no problems.

This last pic looks like another differant way of routing the cable. Thanks for the pic. I'll try both ways and see which one I like and how it feels. Thanks again for ALL the help guys!
