I know this is very short notice, but there are several of us planning on driving up to the Dragon in the last week of November. I have a business meeting in the area on the 26th, that's why we picked that week and the fact that this is the best time of the year to hit the Dragon, no crowds, hardly any slow traffic and little if any LEO's. We'll be leaving south FL on the 25th, although part of the group may be leaving a day or two later. We plan on running the Dragon and surrounding roads from Tuesday afternoon thru Friday.

Did they stop overpolicing it yet? I heard the cops have been writing tons of tickets there during the last few months.

Yep, the "all clear" has been sounded! I was up there this past August, just before the 3 accidents occurred. We encountered two johnny's, both from BCSO. My V-1 performed excellently! just before the overlook (heading towards Maryville,TN.) I picked up some Ka and slowed it down to a crawl (35), came around the corner leading to the straight before the overlook and cruised right past him, waving as I went by, then i went about 50 meters and floored it and proceeded to enjoy sliding around the next two hairpins!

So far I'm the only Evo, the others are an 05 911 Turbo S, an R34 Skyline & and 04 Zo6, but don't worry, I'll whoop all their ***** on the Dragon, I already can whoop them all up to about 135-140 mph.

Were heading up on Sunday to Greenville, SC. I have a meeting there on Monday, then were heading to Fontana Dam NC. as we're staying @ the Fontana Village. It looks like we'll have a twisty drive from Greenville to Fontana. We're planning on driving from Tuesday up to the weekend. Just keep us posted as to when you're planning on coming. I've never been a fan of weekends up there due to slower traffic, but we'll see.

 

Been good. Busy with work, and we had a daughter to add to our busy lives in March.

Rebuilt the motor in mine over the summer. Wiseco/Eagle setup with all ARP hardware and a new ACT HSDD clutch.

Plus, I put my deposit down to get tuned by David Buschur next Thursday (work trip made it all happen).

Nuggy00 is the tall guy that came with me last time - he got an 05 silver SSL that is nice.

Long story - dealer f'd me. 36000 miles and no trouble. Went in for warranty work, and 500 miles later, #3 lost compression.
I am in Greenville, SC (actually Simpsonville which is 10 miles south of Greenville). You should at least come over for dinner while you're up in Greenville.

Ok, I'm back and the weather forecast is looking pretty good so far, we'll have to see how it actually turns out. Last November we had 71 and sunny, I'm guessing we'll have 63-68, sunny to partly cloudy this year, although it will get very chilly at night.
So who's going?
