BTW, my brothers car is running a STOCK EVO9 turbo right now. He has Stages 1-4, BR Race FMIC, two mufflers on his car too, the AEM EMS. 93 octane and 30-32 psi daily.

Just my guess...

Can't wait to see them c16 numbers Dave! Man next time I visit family up north in PA I will have to make a side trip to your shop
I second your guess

Good work Dave. Amazing the torque is so much higher with the c16 tune.

This car is equipped with all the factory weight too along with A/C and such.

Final numbers 615 whp/509 ft lbs. Here is the dyno sheet:

I still have to road tune the car Marque and make sure it drives good for you. I should be able to get to that tomorrow, I don't have anyone spare today to drive it while I watch the laptop.

This car is going to blow you mind.
no doubts whatsoever Dave.

im almost positive u vent the valve cover one, but what about the crank cover one?

Post some dyno graphs on that thing in a new thread, sounds awesome!

Would you be willing to share how you are able to run so much more boost on 93 octane than everyone else?

It was discussed here sometime ago that the UK tuners were running considerably more boost pressures than their U.S. counterparts, despite using a similar fuel to our 93 octane. When it was asked how U.S. tuners concluded that 22-23 psi was the max possible for 93 octane fuel, no one had a clear answer.

As the boost pressure is turned up, the ignition advance has to be reduced. At some point, turning up the boost pressure further won't yield any additional power, simply because the ignition retard will be too much. As to where this point typically occurs, it's never been made clear. . . but it appears to be significantly higher than what most of us expected, as you can plainly see in this discussion.

And I might add that turbo efficiency definitely is a factor here that cannot be ignored.

Thanks for the explanation. Craziness.

Edit: As far as turbo efficiency goes, David said before that he runs 32 psi on the stock turbo?

This is an interesting point. Do you have a link for reference to the original discussion?
I have been doing more tuning on 93 and have found that despite my old tune being at 21-22 psi I am can easily run 25psi with very little to no knock.
