Plasti-Dipped my Front Ring

Started/finished blacking out my front ring today. Disassembly, spraying, and reassembly took about 6.5 hours, including drying time. The actual assembly took about 30 minutes in total. Took a bunch of pics:

Plasti-Dip

Plastic shielding removed

Bumper removed

Trans cooler

Backside of bumper with screws removed

Front side with ring removed

Ready to spray. Clean the surface well to remove dirt and oil. Do not sand if you're using PlastiDip.

Sprayed, dried and re-installed.

Reassembled

Window trim is up next.

Edit: Here's a few daylight pics

I'd prefer to take the window trim out before spraying it, but I'm not quite sure how to do that. If it requires removing the interior panels of each door to remove it, I might just end up masking and spraying directly on the car.

CESARN..........yes paint the nose-ring.

i think the chrome on the front is distracting and..........cheap looking.

i covered mine with black-out tape the second day i had the car.

it is now covered with satin black vinyl.

Looks great. When I recieve my RA next sat that is the 1st thing I'm doing on sun. I plastidipped my chrome grille on my GTS and it didn't have a single rock chip after 5 months. That stuff is great and easy to remove if u want to remove it or need to redo it eventually.

Haha I got excited and forgot to take pics of the ring before I put it back on.

Cesarn2928: I plan to eventually go with either bronze or black wheels, and chrome does not match well with either.

To take the window strip off lower your window and look on the inside, you'll see a screw. Take that out and it pops off =]
