In that note i think a big part of your problems is the OEM engine management system, I have tested a USA mirage/lancer ECU and its absolute rubbish seeing you have stringent rules in pollution etc.. its restricting it from running its true potential.

Here in AU lancer stock with CAI run 15.7 day in day out its nothing new, there are people in PR running 13-12.5SEC 1/4 mile times with there 4G94 SOHC????

Do you use ecuflash? Anyone know if we can use a AUDM rom? That would be sweet if they have bigger fuel and timing maps and we can use them.

hmm, that would be a whole new path to take. More Info Please, would the ecu swap right in and give us similar number? why cant people just tune the lancer to the AUS settings using an evo ecu and get similar numbers. Can a lancer really be "detuned" that much for efficiency ??

I have had bad luck lately with the evo ecus lol went through 2 already and now cant afford another for awhile. First one started and ran the car but idle was garbage and kept throwing codes, it was outta an 05. Second one was DOA and the seller refuses to do anything about it so I have a very expensive paper weight

For the money get a DIYPNP trust me. Get rid of the karman sensor and drop kick it as high as you can! This ECU is amazing it can do pretty much everything.

That's not really a "bolt-on" mod now is it?

I always considered bolt-ons to be "outside" the engine type mods

no..i think your thinking more along the lines of BPU (basic parts upgrades)

bolt ons are exactly that.. bolt ons.. doesnt matter how many bolts it takes to do it
