I do. Its 100% higher cylinder pressure, 1* back from MBT should be 99% of total max torque with half the cylinder pressure.

The thing is most people will say MBT stands for XXX, like Minimum Best Timing or minimum best torque. Minimum Best Torque is a very good to way to describe Maximum Best Timing which I defined previously. Minimum Best Timing seems to indicate that more would be better but that is not the case. Run as much as timing as it takes to make good power and dont get greedy, greedy never works out. Like Bryan said it leads to unwanted vents in the block.

I had the original tuner take another crack at it. I think he was able to get over 12 MBT. Sent logs to the newest tuner and I'm awaiting what he thinks. My car seems like such a mystery. I thought I knew what i was doing.....I guess I was way wrong based on this experience.

Exactly, 1* back and it cuts cylinder pressure *in half*.

Like you said, timing is the easy area to get greedy on and it's also the easiest area to vent a block...

well...... surprisingly enough, this is the map the other anonymous place gave him.

The green dots are where the ecu is tracing and yes thats 10* at peak boost on e85 and attempting 30* at redline.

dont mind the editing i did to copy/paste the RPM side.. I didn't want to disclose the entire map for personal reasons at this time.

That HKS turbo is only running 230 load at 7k? What kind of boost are we talking about?

also prior to his other tuner screwing with the car it was peaking at 380 load and tappering off to around 290ish at redline.

Ever since i continued on the car after they had him running that ridiculous map his car acted very funny. I have the other log of prior if you want to see as well.

Something very wrong with that load...

35 psi peak @ 275-277 load

1byte load looks like it flatlines 275ish @ 3500 to 5500 rpm. Are you sure your 2byte to 1byte Load Factor is set up correctly?

24 psi @ 7500 @ 215 load?

I'm starting to wonder if the Omnibar is setup right as well, that will screw with the load readings too.

I sent you an email with lots of info. have a look. also i know for a fact the omni 4bar settings are correct, i use the same map sensor on my vehicle.

yes it was setup properly. (on my rom atleast)

Well I took the time to compile this little page to easily display the tunes in JPG format. Aaron if you dont mind please look at these and tell me what you think. Afterall, I got most of my e85 tuning style from you, so i think youll agree with me here.

Car was a stock block 2.0L evo9

http://www.myevolution8.net/evom/

That specific car did not want anything more then 1 to 2* at peak, going past 4* yielded in torque loss. Also anything past 12* did nothing for it. took it to 13-14* and it did nothing uptop.

From personal experience from my own vehicle and a few other high hp evos ive tuned I know how dangerous e85 is with timing, and when I seen the other persons timing curve I almost crapped myself. If I loaded that map into my personal evo i would have a blown engine within 5-10 pulls probably.

I do realize smaller frame turbos can take alot of timing uptop vs a larger frame, but almost 30*???? ive never seen that in my entire life. The most ive ever seen was 22* with an extremely good race fuel. Also who lets a car go with blacked out LOAD like that? that is just wrong.

What is your 2byte to 1byte load factor in the Rom and also Evoscan when logging that rom?

Im not sure why you take me for such a noob? My personal car is scaled to 500 load and uses 2.2 which is equiv to 2.2 x 255 = 561 LOAD

His vehicle was setup for 480 Scaling and 1.9 which is 484. I mean you're asking me really basic stuff here like ive never tuned a high horsepower evo when ive produced 655WHP+ on my personal evo on E85 with out any issues at all.

And of course its changed in evoscan to reflect what it is on ECUFlash.

And yes the omni4bar is correct. And you say its bad its copying itself like that, yet i look at my own cars personal logs and they do almost the same thing but with very high load.

Bottom line is this car was tuned very safely at peak boost and throughout, and he took it to another location and they gave him a tune from hell in my opinion as far as E85 goes.

Not really sure what else to say, its why I posted all the logs to show proof of whats going on.

The reason he was scaled so high was because his car was actually hitting around 400 load at one time or another, then all the sudden not. Thing is, I mapped it so it is safe to even scale down as low as 220 load Redline and still maintain the same timing.

Yes I am rather offended by your responses, because you come off as if i dont know what im doing and its rather rude.

If you dont mean to be coming off this way I apologize, but I just feel the questions you're asking are very basic.

I didn't, you took it the wrong way, I was mearly trying to help, we all overlook things from time to time.

Hope the car works out for you... cheers.

Ok then I apologize as well. I know you have more time in E85 then most people on this board and I respect you as a tuner.

And I was off on the SD stuff for sure, and a few other things on here, I admit that. Again sorry for taking it the wrong way.
