Well, on Monday my car finally made it to AMS's dyno, after a 7 hour drive from Cincinnati to Illinois on Sunday afternoon.

The car came out of the dyno with some good solid numbers, specially torque as can be seen from the plot below.



For reference my mods are:
HKS super hybrid drop in panel
AMS TBE with test pipe
AMS LICP
Walbro 255lph fuel pump
Hallman Pro RX MBC set @ 22psi peak and tapering to about 18-19psi on 93 octane


I immediately felt the difference as I was driving back to Cincinnati, cruising in 5th gear with all the torque that was gained, it felt awesome, but I didn't step on the car until yesterday, and boy... I have a totally different car now. The thing pulls so hard; it gives you the feeling that power is not going to die off.

I am truly impressed and satisfied by the results. Once again I want to thank the whole AMS team for making this happen, specially Chris for answering all my questions and extracting a safe and awesome amount of power from my car.

 

That is a HUGE mid range torque gain. Your EVO should feel like a new monster. AMS

 

Why not Buschur , they're closer for you.

 

Because AMS has a better reputation.

Probably because Buschur only does flashes when Al is there, otherwise he only tunes stand alone ECU's.

On 93oct, couldn't you be running 23-24 psi peak with a IX?

 

Maybe, but reliability comes first!!!

 

Now I'm jealous!!! I can't wait until the AMS crew comes down to Puerto Rico and tune my car!!! I'm only missing the AMS LICP to have the same mods, so we will see if I decide to buy it before July 28.

They are close to me and only moving closer. All I can say is that the crew over there is the best I have ever dealt with when it comes to customer satisfaction and assistance. They tuned my IX with a safe tune and it put down 326hp and 290's TQ at 20psi which is super safe. Wxtreemly happy. I will be bring my car back for the FP Green flash and Poss cluth install with cams very soon.

Very similar to mine! I put down 311/321 @ 23psi on 93octane with an EB IX! lol.

 

It must be the color!!!

There are a couple of AMS Tuned cars with very strong numbers! I just hope mine doesn't dissapoint.
