Where on earth are you guys mounting your front remote reservoirs?

It seems to me the strut bar would be obvious initially, but I'm sure the heat radiating off of the intake manifold would keep them a bit too toasty?

I'm almost thinking about mounting them in the lower portion of the wheel well as the rebound adjustment is on the bottom of the strut up front anyway. Thoughts/ideas/suggestions would be much appreciated!

I'm a spoiled **** having strut mounted reservoirs but if I had remotes I'd put them on the strut bar. The intake side of the engine doesn't get that hot.

Yep mine are on the strut bar. For the inverted ones it works well. If I go with MCS's next season I may have to find a home elsewhere.

Alright, well I guess it is that simple. I assumed that location would get too hot! I swear I've had days when touching the bar, it wanted to burn the hand almost!

You do realize the fluid inside the dampers heats up too, correct? As with all racing its always about heat management but in this case I doubt the heat radiating from the IM will even come into play. Sure cool fresh air would be ideal but is it even any better down in the wheelwell? Aside from the obvious potential wheel and tire fitment issue, you also have heat radiating from your brakes down there too

Why would you change to a non inverted setup? You're way more prone to bend a shock rod on a non inverted setup.

If you're concerned about it, you can adjust nitrogen pressure. But as heel2toe stated, shock have an operating temp like everything else.

Are you guys just using zip ties for mounting them to the front strut bar or? Ideas are welcome and appreciated!

Google "shock reservoir clamps". Way more sturdy than zip ties.

I have seen rally cars with reservoars mounted in 2 places.. one was on the struit bar and the other was on the inner wing but towards the front of the car... that is a cooler spot..
