Inspection issue?

Hey guys, new to evos. Just picked up an evo8 fully built e85 and tephra v7 mod. Having issues in NYS communicating with the inspection machine. Car connects just fine to my scan tool. Anybody else having this issue?

ok but some people got additional wiring for switching maps or ODB2 entertainment stuff that might be interfering. I do have a OdB2 scanner/plug that works in newer cars only. I'm not sure if you have that kind of issue

car uses the intercooler sprayer switch to switch maps. My scan tool at home connects to and reads data of the car just fine. Issue is that the inspection computer isnt communicating with the emissions portion of the ECU. I'm hoping it's just something with the rom logic.

can you describe this a bit more. your issue is not about (sensor) 'Not Ready', right? just overall no communication. nada

Yes the computer says connector/connection is good but then says connection failed and will not proceed with testing monitoring or anything else.

Odd. on our cars using the tactrix adapter can be problematic if the battery charge is low. do you think you have a good batt/connection?

battery is fine. I'm starting to hear it could be NYS new software/equipment. I'm going to be calling the state dmv today and will give update

Update: Shop is still having trouble with another client with the same issue. Seems to be a NYS software issue with the inspection computers rejecting something in the roms.
