I need help locating a gasket or o-ring.

Hey guys,

I need to perform a coolant system / radiator flush. I have attached an image diagramming the parts. #18 is listed as the “engine coolant outlet.” Back in the day, we always called it a water neck. #20 is the thermostat. #18 is the thermostat housing. There must be a gasket or o-ring or something between the “engine coolant outlet” and the thermostat housing. Does anyone here know the part number for the gasket or o-ring or have a source? I have searched the web, but have not been able to find anything.

I have a yellow 2003 Evo 8 with just a bit over 67,000 miles. I bought it new in 2003. Thanks for any help that you can provide me.

Ryan

Never mind. I see that the thermostat has a built in seal. I guess I should replace the thermostat after 23 years, if I am going to perform a coolant system flush.

Yes, that thermo seal is the one, but if you buy a new oem stat, it will come with it.
