CHAT FUNCTION!!! Wouldn't it be cool?

Wouldn't it be cool to have a chat function based on a few topics from our forums?

We could have regional chatrooms, chatrooms about troubleshooting & tips / tricks, Q&A Chatroom, etc...

What ya'll think??

If you click "Enter Forums" it's in the list of forums. I hardly consider that difficult.

Not to mention the link from OT. It really depends upon how you browse the forums I suppose.

makes sense.. it does depend how you search the forums.. i never go into the forums.. just go to new posts and cruise.. its easier for me to do that since i check every day....

but maybe this should be asked...

I believe it would be used more if we had preset rooms that were listed on the main page.. for example...

Troubleshooting (3 people)
Show and Shine (15 people)
Southeast Region (4 people)
see more....

something like that.. anywhere.. the bottom right or along the very top of the screen.

I will definately start using the chat function regardless..

this is a forum devoted site....creating these chat rooms will tend to turn it into a chat devoted site. people will no longer post questions/answers, only chat about them, making it harder for other members to find information. unless you log the chatrooms, i don't think it's a useful feature on a forum. one is enough to waste some time and/or meet or converse with some members. questions or comments should be kept to the forums so that the information is available to all.
