I think you are missing the point.

I think it is worse for the person who is trying to sale things as well....your going to get less traffic in object specific categories.

 

Well yeah but this way the topics have a better chance of staying on top with out constantly bumping the thread.

Don't know about that. It's better this way. In the old setup where every thread was dumped into one pile, you would be lucky if your thread can stay visible in the first page within an hour or less. This is where all the "bump" posts stem from.

Where every thread is piled into one spot? I doubt the majority of the site can vouch for that.

Now if we broke it down further into Evo and Lancer sections, we'd have more "clicking" to do, with all the sub-forums you would have to go through.

So, what's the difference? It'll end up having the same clutter piled into one place, but instead, it'll be two piles, the Evo, and the Lancer pile.

Ill take the one click to separate a bunch of crap I dont want that doesnt fit on my EVO (lancer stuff).

I think subforums are great. Its better than having one forum with 100 different topics/parts your not looking for. Think about it. What if ebay just had one big sell category? Im sure thatd be a great idea.
