50 post sounds dumb. that'll just make scammers look more legit.

if they're going to scam, they'll scam anyways. Just don't send money order. use pay pal and be smart.

 

I joined only to put my car for sale / trade for an EVO, and to mass market it across all the car forums. now i have to wait 50 posts to do so? thats crazy!

not only that, I cant post replys in the car for sale for telling someone im interested in their car.

Dang it I want to put my exhaust up for sale and I whored up to 50 posts today and it still wont work. Arggh

 

I like the idea of weeding out scammers! But i don't like the fact that you have to have 50 posts. Im on here all the time and i never really post anything. I happen to be able to get a good deal on some product. and just try to pass it along to members. Oh well! hopefully "word of mouth" will work from some of my customers

About like... contact one of the mods to sell by giving your real information, maybe driver license? and they will approve it. Almost like a registered vendor here.

What about not only the 50 post thing...but...how about at least a 10 or better feedback rating of positives? Yeah I know that might cut down on some of the good people just trying to sell off something that they no longer need...but it might help some.

 

^ Nope. Look at me, only 1 feedback and I've been member since aug. 03. So that mean I can't sell.

 

i think that people should at least be able to post a reply to something that they want to buy, and i'm not going to ***** up the boards b/c that's just dumb. i have been a member for almost 6 months now and just b/c i don't live on the boards and post every single day doesn't mean i'm a scammer. but like plokivos said use paypal, it is fast and secure. also people should just use some sense here, if it's sounds too good to be true then it probably is.
