You can still send the seller PMs showing your interest

Thank you. That explanation is more clear.

We get a lot of people who come on, sell something, and disappear.

i have the same problem. i have been a member for a long time and do alot of research on here, yes i may not post alot but i do post when i have something intelident to add. i have sold and bought stuff on this board before and now i cant anymore. not every person likes to fill out the seller buyer ratings, (i have asked them to and they still dont) but that should not make me unable sell or buy other things ao even respond to my own forsale thread that i had placed before this rule was implimented.

50 ***** posts

get my info, call me, ask some shops (ams tuning in Maryland) if Im a scammer-- I cant sell items that are good, that people want,, etc..... ???? I sent a pm to another moderator, dont know if that helps. I am in retail and know that people stealing sucks, it happens. More control may turn folks off-- I usually log on, check stuff for sale, blah blah blah. This new rule stinks. IMO

I have been on this site since 2003. I post only when I have something good to contribute. Many of my posts are not added to my count because of the section of the forum they are in (Offtopic, for sale, etc) and now I am not allowed to post in the "for sale" forum? That's just plain stupid.
I appreciate trying to eliminate scammers but your method is flawed to say the least.

Thank you for your feedback. Posting in the for sale forum is now a privilege earned by contributing to our site. There are many websites were you can sell your stuff for a fee and they do not have any stupid post requirements. Thanks.

In a way it is good however there are some of us that just like to view and only post when they have an opinion to state. Anyhow, I have been a member for over a year but my post count is low but I have positive seller rating. I mainly just go on the site to look for good deals at the sametime try and sell. I guess I will have to start posting everywhere to get my 50 minimum. Kind of sucks cause I have some items in there that I have to respond too but cant!

Thankfully guys-- you didn't make it 500 posts! Since I make all my posts in Private for Sale--- my count never goes up!

I do feel however we should have some compromise as to making the system either based on posts or longevity but not both. I'll post up my thoughts where the mods can discuss...
