In response to the recent closing of a thread by Robert K

In the thread titled Accolade Hood Problem Robert K closed the thread saying it isnt a problem for the board. How is this not a problem?

Countless threads about problems have been closed and buried so people cannot see. If I was accolade I would be thrilled! Still able to sell junk cause the mods keep closing the threads.

People have spent time proving that Accolade body parts lead to mega problems.

My suggestion is to make 1 thread, titled "Accolade Problems mega merge" where people can go and read about problems with accolade. Some people do not see these threads, buy a kit and wonder why theirs fits terrible.

I very rarely see any other threads by other evo/lancer that involve problems closed.

Either that or there should be a Vendor Review forum with all the vendors listed.

I agree!

However, a part you may be overlooking is Accolade along with other vendors pay some big bucks for their vendor status/membership. And I wouldn't be the slightest bit surprised to know that it is in the agreement that MODS will try to control or manipulate the amount of slander or negative content that is spoken about the sites customers.

Lets face it folks....we don't pay they're bills. The vendors do.

Now, with that said. I still believe that the site has an obligation to us as car enthusiasts alike to provide accurate feedback (good or bad) about the sponsors and vendors listed on this board.

It would be helpful if you provided a link to your thread that was closed.

No one here can answer the question and it should have been closed. Threads like this can clog the forums as the vendor haters (pick a vendor) jump in with obligatory "they suck" replies (which they did). If a member is unable to resolve an issue with the vendor, then they should contact a moderator as per our site rules:

No bashing vendors, shops, or other websites without just cause. evolutionm.net reserves the right to determine when just cause has been proven, so all complaints should be sent to our staff for evaluation. If you don't like it and haven't talked to our staff about it, don't post.

That wasn't your hood, so I assume your concern is that vendors and moderators are working together to ensure negative comments are removed? I have never been told what or how to moderate a vendor and you are wrong. It is a delicate balance for sure, but we let stand many negative comments and evaluate all on a case basis. Sometimes we get it right and sometimes we don't. It is the hardest part of the job.

The vendors are at a distinct disadvantage as one person can launch a two day saga, then take it all back because the vendor was out of town and one phone call resolved it. Take a look at the RNR thread in Evo general. My hunch is that you have a particular hard on for Accolade and not satisfied with less than a beheading? If you have personal specific information concerning Accolade and you, then let’s hear it via PM. Otherwise give our members some credit for being able to sort out the vendor’s. There is plenty of information on Evom to make good buying decisions.

In summary, your premise is wrong and we could administer the ultimate punishment for questioning our credibility. Make you a moderator.

i thought this was helping out other members so they dont waste their hard earned money on crap parts!
I have had my share of probs with a specific moderator not sending a part i bought! it took 2mths to get it!
nuf said and just to note the sarcasim is not needed from the moderators!

If the purpose of a post is to seek a solution with a vendor, then it stays. If the purpose of the post is to inform the members of part/service problem and the vendors has been given a chance to fix and has not, it stays. If the purpose is to seek revenge (bashing) then it will be moderated. If it turns into a vendor bashing circle jerk it gets tossed and many times we act preemptive. And it usually is is not black and white.

The mods make these decisions every day and again, some we get right and some we get wrong. However, there is not conscious gamesmanship relative to hiding a vendor's chronic problems. Take a stroll through the forums and you will find vendor comments all over the place.

Finally, my reply wasn't meant to be sarcastic, just a little humor. However, this is sarcastic... tough if you don't like it. Thanks.

hey, im not trying to bash on the vendor, it seems like you are bashing on me just cause i want some customer service, and i cant get a hold of accolade, so I know that evolutionm.net always has some accolade vendors thats why we post up these problems. and do not try to label us as vendor haters. I just wanted my question to be answered so I can get some customer service. If you think what I posted on the board was a negitive comment, then there is something wrong with the way this forum is runned, I payed good money for my body kit, and so did other people too. If you had a body kit and it was messed up wouldnt you do the same thing im doing.

The only request was that you contact the vendor. That was it. He (the mod) didn't delete it and Accolade can read it and any mod can help you via PM's. My comments were not directed at you at all. I was answering the question at the beginning. Apparently a very feeble attempt on my part to explain the actions moderators take. Waste of time maybe?

Thanks.
