I was trying to read the AEM section of the engine management forums and an ad from ads.doublekmedia.com would timeout and cause the page not to load. after 15 minutes of dealing with this, I finally put an entry for that dns entry in my hosts file redirecting it to 127.0.0.1.

Look, I do not mind loading the ads to help support this site. Using unreliable adservers only hurts evolutionm since doublekmedia is forever redirected in my browser now. Evolutionm will no longer get ad revenue for ads served from doublekmedia through my viewing habits. I think this is a suboptimal situation for everyone.

The solution can be one of two things:
Use an adserver that is reliable.
Allow the page to load even if the ad does not.
