i understand the logic behind it, but at the same time if the point is to establish legitimacy, then how does pm'ing without being able to post do that?

finding that happy medium is always a tough thing, and you can never please everyone. it's always the "law-abiding citizen" that get the short stick with these kind of things.

again, i understand the need. i also understand the frustration.

i understand where you're coming from, but i think it is a valid rule. 50 post is not that much, look how many i have. lol. just post up a little more.

I missed out on a bunch stuff too. because you can't say "I'm interested" I've also been lurking around I posted like 15 things and the counter says 5 that's awesome huh !!

Ya the 50 thing kinda suck. Like me I have parts im trying to sell but cant till I get my posts up. I have a couple of sales rating but still cant sell. Makes me have to go to other sites and try to sell. Oh well I guess here is one more post for me.

I've been a member since Oct'03, you'd think that they could change the rule for people who have been members for more than a year.

Well the majority of the members here have no probs with this rule, based on this thread you guys are probably less than 1% of the population of this forum that is complaining about the min. post count rule. Im sure the admins and mods will look into it but you have to understand why this rule is set, they are trying to make it harder for scammers to rip us off!

But yea if more newbs continue to voice their opinion maybe the admins and mods will change the #, but right now it doesnt look that good!

I actually have no problem with the rule, just would be nice if people who have been members for long time could get around it.
