PLZ HELP! I'm bein IP blocked!
If you're a powerful moderator, would you please bring this thread to the attention of somebody with blocking/unblocking capabilites?
Several weeks ago, I suddenly lost access to this site. Long story short, it wasn't my network or computer and that's for sure. I made a thread here: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=168485 and it didn't help me in the least.
Since then, I had my friend who manages servers check it out. Long story short again, he said I was IP blocked and my network was just fine. He said sometimes an IP can extend to a larger group of people than desired and it shouldn't be geographically linked. He was able to bounce a request off of his home machine and return a text-based version of the site from my computer and she showed me the fact that my network and setttings and all were fine.
So basically, I would really appreciate if somebody could look into this. If you haven't already gathered, I wasn't banned by username, as I have access and this my only account. My home IP just happened to be sucked into another instance of somebody being IP blocked. I'm at work right now... I can either check this thread Friday or read through on my phone's web browser. The sooner this issue can be looked into and solved, the better, because let me tell you... it's really hard to find the information I want without logging in looking through a tiny cell phone screen. Thank you very much for your time.
P.S. I might be able to check at home for updates because I found a way to browse by running each request through a good web archive server. Disadvantages to that are: each HTTP request/transaction takes about 3 minutes to complete, can't log in, and can't search. I should be able to see any responses to this thread simply through that system. Once again, thank you.

YOu would need an Admin to look at this but I looked at your IP addresses linked to your account and there are only 3 and no other member has ever used any of the same addresses as you. It is possible that it is a routing issue in which an address was blocked that was actually a route along the way but the way IP traffic works that really shouldn't matter since the source address is still your address regardless of how many hops it takes.
timzcat thanks for lookin into that. I just lived with the problem and kept delaying calling my ISP but today the site finally came through my router... no idea why now and not before. But thanks, now I can post more than just when my boss isn't looking at work.
