WORKS doesn't recommend an upgraded fuel pump in any of there stages .

I definitely agree that your post shouldn't of been deleted. The individual never stated he was going to get a Dynoflash so why would he have to upgrade his pump? He could end up going to WORKS, Vishnu, etc for his tuning and may never need one.

Bottom line - until the Mod who did it shows up to answer, we'll never know.

I try to only delete posts that violate forum rules. I will not PM you if I delete a post. As Robert said, I'd be doing a LOT of PMing if so.

I deleted it. I removed it in response to a reported post that the information was inaccurate and could lead to serious problems for owners. I generally take the time to PM members when removing posts and threads, but did not in this case because I was heading out the door to catch an airplane.

There is no nebulous agenda or policy or conscious effort to favor one member over another. Just one of many judgement calls we make everyday. Some we right, some we get wrong and some are squishy either way. I understand you disagree and thank you for your comments.

Yes, a judgement call. Clearly, with the information in this thread, the thought that the information was "inaccurate" and "could lead to serious problems for owners" is at odds with professional tuning shops that support this board.

Is it a policy to delete all "inaccurate" posts?

Is it a policy to delete all posts that "could lead to serious problems for owners"?

First, I'd find it to be an opportunity to inform people of risks of following said advice. I've yet to find anywhere a specific description of what is at risk by not installing a fuel pump before doing $4-500 of mods?

I didn't recommend the owner drive into a lake. I questioned the need for a fuel pump that early in the mod schedule and stated my opinion. No explanation, just told I was ignorant.

Is this board about directing owners or informing owners?

Thank you for letting me voice my opinion ... I hope that if anyone ever sees fit to delete a post of mine they'd let me know - AND let me know why.

There is nothing beyond the "judgement call". That's it. The initiative was the safety of other owners. That's it. You are more than welcome to open a new thread concerning the replacement of stock fuel pumps.

And you may read all you want into this, but the only thing that is different concerning this moderation and the other 75 we do daily is....... it was your post. Thanks.
