I understand that the ra vs thread was recently deleted b/c of the street racing involved in most posts.

On this line of thinking I would imagine that the ra for sale thread has been deleted due to the fact that there is already a for sale forum.

I think that we need the RA for sale forum because of the large amount of clutter involved in the generic for sale thread. we all want to find cheap parts for our car, but there are more posts in the for sale thread than anyone could ever read.

I would greatly appreciate it if the mods and admin of EvoM would consider putting a private for sale forum in each type of lancer forum. This would save the regular lancer guys from sorting through 100+ posts of evo stuff when they need to see whats up for sale. Same thing for the evo guys. If you are looking for parts you want to see whats available for your car, not someone elses.

I understand administration of a site this large is time consuming and sometimes costly, but you have to see the reasoning behind this. I am copying this to the appropriate forum, but wanted to post it here so maybe we can get some support. If you ever wanted to buy something for your car and looked at the for sale thread you know exactly what I am talking about.

+1 I personally don't even go to the EvoM FS thread because of all the junk I have to look through to try and find a part that will fit the RA. I definitely think that each section of the forum should have it's own FS thread.

 

I say this is a great idea.

EvoM is getting stale at least for the ralliart section. You cant sell stuff in this section. You can't talk about the potential of our cars VS. other cars. You can't bring up an accident you had lest it be merged in with the accident trash heap. You can't ask questions that have been asked before becuase you'll be directed to the noob thread/sticky. Its like all the ralliart info that you could need is already in the stickies so if you try to discuss something new, its either pointless or you look foolish for bringing it up. It has now been overmoderated to the point where there is nothing really discussionworthy in the main area. Not that i'm complaining about the mods we have, they're nice guys but frankly I browse through the ralliart section now and i don't find anything worth me discussing. On top of which, I have ideas for new products that I can create for the ralliart, but I can't bring it up because I don't pay money to the site.

Sorry for the hijack, im just venting. Yes we need a for sale section.

Yeah sorry, I didn't see this thread after a search. I just made a new one asking the same question. Definitely bring back the FS and WTB sections. It seems ridiculous not to have these. A lot of guys benefit from them. Guys selling their cars can go back to stock and recover a few bucks and guys buying can get things they might not otherwise have been able to afford. Win-win if you ask me. I really hope it's not at the request of vendors.

 

How many of these threads do we need?

Seriously, the idea is under consideration. Let the powers that be consider it and decide how to implement it.
