We do not have the resources or time to inforce these rules. While they are nice thigns to have...not ever sale would require them, and if the seller doesnt have it, you do not need to buy it.

Price is a nice thing to have, but not everyone knows what they want to sell something for. For example, I may just put something up and say make me an offer since I don't know or don't care what its worth.

So at the moment we can put these as things that are highly recomended for sellers, but we cannot really enforce them

I usually sell my stuff so cheap that it isn't worth my time taking a picture for somebody to only low ball me only further.

If you guys are worried about fraudulant transactions, be sure to demand feedback, whether its positive, netural, or negative for every transaction you make with another member, this way the new potential buyer is more informed about who they are dealing with.

As for another forum enforcing those rules, I wouldn't ever bother selling anything on that forum since it is too much hoops to jump through for no profit. The negative side to this is that those members in that forum miss out on potential deals that people would have otherwise posted had it not been a pain in the *** to do so.

thats what they do over on the Z forum. whats so hard about posting a price? everyone complains about being low-balled but expect the buyer to put out a price. you (seller) know what you want for it, just ask!

it cant be that hard to moderate people posting a price. just click the thread and see if the OP has a price...if not tell them to do so and if they dont delete it. ****, ill PM a mod on the Z forum if you want me to ask them how they do it.

I dunno how posting a price and a pic is jumping through hoops or a PITA. And its really just annoying more than anything to have to wait forever to hear back from a seller to get a pic to make sure what your buying isnt all messed up or anything. I think putting up a thread that says you should post a pic in for sale threads would get more people to do it even if its not something that is enforced all the time.

yeh ... and esp when it comes to vendors, they should always post prices not "pm me for pricing". i feel that some people are favored here and get a cheaper price than some member who joined just last week.

The reason some vendors do the PM me for pricing thing is that they are trying to keep their competition from matching their price.

Yeah, definitely cannot have these rules in the vendor section. No reason for a pic if its a new in box known product. and they often cannot advertise the prices they are giveing you without getting in trouble with the manufacturer.

We can put a sticky at the top of the for sale section telling people to include a price with every post and ask(not make them) that they post a picture. We will not however enforce this on our own. Takes to much time to check every single thread.
