Can we get some real moderators

Can we get some real moderators
This does not apply to everyone, but some moderators are either not here, or not moderating.
At least 25% of the threads I look at (which dont include off-topic), turn to trash once certain people begin posting in them. Not only do the moderators not take care of this, but in many cases actually contribute or start the problem.
with trying to attract people from Lancer Registers and other places, I don't see how this forum can do that with all the nonsense that gets posted here by just a few people.

my ot posts have better content than most of the threads in general..half those threads don't even belong there...but i can't do anything about it
the us lancer tech section is a joke too
i try and correct people..but i have no power there
plus no one can post stuff in the right forums either
half the mods here are never here and they are in the most important sections too
sailorgirl, brat, and sparko are nonexistent
justin will get on for a few minutes every night
FresnoKaliRacer, jontwopimpdaddy, and Strider are very rarely on
i'm on a ton so is lan evo, hooby, and pjal84....but we aren't in control of much at all

TearItUpSports, you concerns is absolutely valid since I do have the same feeling. Of course, it only represents my own opinion, as a member/moderator. I think we did mentioned the situation regarding some mods that are not in here most of the time to KK and hopefully things will be changed in appropriate manner and reasonable time.
In regarding to content/post control. Here is the problem, since our member base is so diversed, from 15-yr old HS kid who just got their first car, to college student and to a more mature group who own/waiting on the EVO, we're bounded to have difference in opinions. Furthermore, what I think is moderating is consider as "**** control" to some member. Sometimes, it's very hard to handle it well and get the balance. If you do feel certain individual is not doing what he/she suppose to do, you might use to PM system to voice your opinion/comment directed to him/her. I'm pretty sure all moderators are open to suggestion and feedback.

I would have liked to see a big "Boo Hoo" underneath. I tend to agree that most forums digress and turn into either flames or OT, but I also agree with Lan Evo in that it has to do with the varied types of posters we have and our lack of Mod presence in some of the "more important" forums. Most of the OT threads end up with more content than on.
The only thing the forums are really lacking is more tech help/advice. I don't even think it's that people don't have the knowledge, it's just not offered in a friendly manner (if at all). And this isn't to say that it's a mod's fault for not answering or that they should respond to all questions, but it's just another factor in the big picture.

I'd rather not have the forums turn into **** Germany, but hey, that's just my opinion.

i wouldn't go as far as post *****...but a little more modding could help,

I'd love to help, but I have no real power over the big forums....I shut down a couple of the topics in the newbie forum 'cause they got a bit OT, and I'm on all the time, but I don't really have any power over the big forums.
I don't really wanna ask Mark for power over forums like the General forum or the Evo Rumors forum, 'cause I've only been here since December....if he were to say "hey yer gonna mod the general and evo rumors forums now" I wouldn't hesitate to say alright, but until that day comes I don't really feel like asking him fer that power.
