Ever since the site has changed, I have been having no luck accessing the forums with my Mobile pocket pc phone. It was working great before but for the last 2 days, I have had no luck. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem on a PPC or mobile smart device and what action was taken to remedy the situation. If anyone in admin has any ideas, let me know please. Thanks

Oh yeah, the phone has been released a month ago so it should have the latest software and firmware. Thanks again.

 

Are you accessing the site directly or going through wap.evolutionm.net.?

I just tested it out on mine and everything seemed to load up fine. I'm going through the main url: www.evolutionm.net.

 

I typed in www.evolutionm.net
I can get on the site fine but I cant get into the forums or anything at all. It just takes me to a page that says:

There seems to be a slight problem with the data base. Please try again by pressing the refresh button on your browser.
An E-mail has been dispatched to our Technical Staff, who you can also contact if the problem persists.
We apologise for any inconvenience.

And it says that for everything but the main page. Yesterday it was saying the site was undergoing maintainance or something like that. Yet my regular PC worked absolutely fine and is still working fine. The site does seem a bit slower though. Thanks.

 

Hmmm. Not sure what I can really tell you at the moment. I am working on a mobile friendly version of the site, so that may help solve your problem.

 

Were you able to access threads and different forums on your mobile/ppc ok? Mine has windows 5.0 version 2 i believe. I just need to get to the bottom of this asap because I cant use my Pc at work to surf the site, and work has slowed and will continue to slow until next year. So in other words, I'm dieing. Thanks for all the help. I will check for a browser update or something tomorrow.

If it doesn't open www.evolutionm.net, try forums.evolutionm.net maybe that will help since it will take you to forums directly.

Thanks for the advice, but that lead me to the parents directory. Not sure why but its back to the drawing board for me.

 

Yeah I was able to access threads and make posts. To prove it, I'm actually reply to the thread using my pocket pc.

 

Not exactly sure what happened but between me trying to find browser/flash updates and the site being reconfigured and rearanged everyday, my mobile internet explorer is able to surf the site again and its loading much faster than before. Its been working since last week friday. Good stuff.
