What time zone is it set for? Or is it just off by 12 hrs? Isn't this site hosted on the East Coast anyway

 

Yeah my time is screwed up too, and I did choose the correct time zone.

Never, but it seems like it would be a common mistake that people would make.

The forum clock might be set for GMT, but it is wrong. The East Coast is 5 hrs. behind GMT

^ Could that be the culprit...just realized the "-8 hours" part. Durh...that solves our mystery. If it's around 1 at GMT, the forum clock should be reading about 6! Right? Hmm...

 

I just saw this at the bottom of thread by the "reply" button:

"All times are GMT -5 hours. The time now is 08:54 AM."

Mine says -5 cause I am East Coast, and your says -8 because you are West Coast which is 3 hrs behind me

If that was true, the time should be accurate according to EST...its not

 

Well shiznit...bah...not worth the time to worry over. Just accept things the way they are: we have a strange clock. Maybe Mark's been doing bad things to it...Eh...probably not that. The server is probably taking hits when no one is looking. I think that ends this thread...hm.

 

I guess the server time is off. I never put it together Maybe I can have them correct it.

all you do is pick a time offset that makes it the right time...takes all of a minute to do

i think eastern time is +6hrs
