What do you mean "delete" your account? Disable log-in? Remove all posts? Unless there is a very compelling reason, we do not delete accounts.

The main thing a message board is for is to have information. Removing your entire account and all your posts would be something of a waste. As Bob said, we'd be happy to disable your account for you. That way it would never be used again, but all your posts would stay. Please let us know if that would be OK with you.

 

I administer a forum myself, a local community with almost 600 members and I never understood why people would ask for me to delete there account. Usually, it was to cover up there tracks from something they shouldnt have said.

 

That's what the "edit post" feature is for.

Yeah, but deleting the account won't affect that, only the thread. So if the person wasn't the thread starter, it's completely moot.

 

Suspicious . . . makes you want to look at recent posts, hmmmm?
