I personally don't see it as an us vs. them. You run a business and need to do what's best for the business. If you don't think the Dyno Section is worth the time and effort, you won't do it and that's the way it should be.
I would put it under the EVO section at the top or just below General. Nearly all of the dyno plots posted are EVOs, so that section seems natural. I would put it at the top because it contains some of the most popular threads.

I asked for the RA tech forum, and they added a whole subsection. here is the suggestion thread I posted. It's still on the front page. Notice the in depth reasoning I supplied, and the responses from the others who posted there.
don't be a punk and try and attack me, this is a civil conversation and your sarcasm is way off base. grow up, nothing is free and I am just trying to help you realize that while you don't have to pay to be here you should still try and be a productive member instead of a whiner that doesn't get his way. good day, and as I said before good luck.

Please keep the discussion on the topic. There is absolutely nothing in this thread that should result in flame fest. If you guys want to duke it out, then either go to PMs or try OT. (DMZ).

Let's say I'd like to discuss the anemic 93whp that my 2002 Lancer put down. Or let's say DangerousDan dynoed his RA and wanted to talk about that.
If you're going to suggest a dyno discussion forum, it either needs to be:
a) in a central location for everyone, or
b) dyno discussion forumS in each car subtype.

OK, now I'm going to play the other side of this - what about the rest of us? We don't all own Evos. But regular Lancers owners bicker just as much about dyno plots (trust me; it's been a fun week thanks to a few dyno sheets from Injen and Fujita).

In my mind, to be a benefit, it should be easily found, easy to use, easily organized and easy to review. I'd be more than willing to offer any help needed.
if it needs to be more visible then the new users should utilize the links provided when they sign up. also, a sticky or a link in the n00b faqs in every forum could point everyone to the dyno section of the registry. any particular dyno thread can be posted in it's respective forum and discussed as we have always done before this suggestion was made.

The current system doesn't work well. Why wouldn't you want the most popular threads that have a commonality grouped together? They are also probably the most researched threads. Again, it seems logical to group them.
It's obvious based on the profanity filled pms you've sent, you're going to do everything you can to kill this idea. Why not just move along and go taunt and insult someone else.

I think a thread where you could compare and discuss your numbers within your "level" would be ideal. Have a Dyno Sheet section with subforums of mustang dyno, dynojet, dynamics, dynapack, and somehow incorporate models such as VIII stock, VIII bolt on's, VIII meth, etc. Something along those lines would be the most helpful and informative to the community.

keep the pm's private, it's in the anacronym and speedlimit has warned both of us already.
thegame makes a good point. if you add a dyno section you should probably add one for each type of dyno so as not to confuse anyone. there are all kinds of arguments about what numbers mean what, and if they are seperated by forum there will be no room for argument.
the individual who starts the thread would/should have to put the information in the OP that pertains to that particular graph; ie stock, MBC and TBE, etc. It should be stated in the forum guidelines though, like the guidelines in the tech forum.
Okay, I've read through everyones responses and I've come up with an easy solution:
Creating a forum to just post dyno graphs is going to cause more mess because we already have a dyno plot section within the registry. I think the easiest thing to do is to separate the dyno section from the registry and create a new section within the site. From there I can give the ability to discuss each dyno plot, create categories for each dyno, etc. Basically by having a independent section will provide more freedom to enhance things as we go along. We can also organize the info to make searching easier.

that sounds very interesting, kind of like a seperate forum only for dyno discussions? are you going to be uber strict with the guidelines like in the tech forums?
definitely organize it, at least as far as the two types of dynos (eddy current and inertia) because it will greatly reduce the confusion related to most of these comparison type discussions.

I look forward to seeing it. you spoke of organization previously, would you care to elaborate or are you guys gonna surprise us?
(that's if you have even thought that far into it yet
