Spell check function...pretty please?

Hey guys. I'm just curious if it would be possible for ya'll to include a spell check function so people can check their threads and thread titles before posting them. Other forums have this function. I only suggest it for two reasons.

1) I've seen so many threads where words in the title are spelled incorrectly and the person can't change the thread title. With spell check, it would catch the error before posting.

2) Some posts are awful hard to read with all the spelling errors. Maybe I'm just **** about spelling and punctuation or have OCD about it, but geez is it hard sometimes

I don't know exactly what goes into adding that functionality, but I think it would be a welcomed addition by the members.

Thanks for considering

Aren't the words underlined in red if they are not spelled correctly before the post?

I thought the red underline spell checking was a function of Firefox and not EvoM, or something you need to set up in your preferences.

Chances are that the bad spellers and pepl hu typ lk ths don't care. My guess is that most of them would just (or probably do) ignore the red underlines and just keep on typn. kby. You're trying to revolutionize an unwilling world that is slowly heading towards idiocracy (hilarious movie, BTW).

What I see is that people are no longer ashamed to be undereducated, misinformed or just plain lazy, so why would they bother correcting mistakes, even if they had the benefit of having them pointed out? You're more than likely to get: "That's just who I am, so deal with it."

I agree wholeheartedly that it seems "cooler" to present yourself as being uneducated. While it is idiotic and backwards, it is the trend with younger folks these days. I see it on forums, and I also see it on resumes and written communication by 20-somethings that work for me.

It's just a big pet peeve of mine.

What I don't understand is that it seems like a simple thing to provide to the members of EvoM. Maybe there is much more to it in terms of programming the functionality into the site or maybe there is a license that needs to be purchased. Anyhow, I was just thinking out loud

download firefox.

and if this is true than I'm in the minority then I don't want to look like an idiot, even on evom. I may speak in lolcat sometimes in OT though

firefox = <3

I'm twenty-one and I'm very **** about my spelling and grammar. This has nothing to do with age at all. More or less how you were raised.

Best response I have comes from PRINT SCREEN and good ol' MS Paint...

If that doesn't say it all, I don't know what does...
