Change in Forum Layout

Hey Everyone,

I wanted to get some feedback for a new layout I'm playing with to make the main forum index easier to navigate through. The purposed layout change will shrink down the forum index considerably and will use graphics to help separate everything without relying on text.

Here's a preview image:

This method/theme would apply to rest of the forum areas where we would use graphics (instead of text) to separate the sections.

Great idea, should help to greatly reduce the length of the index page. It's way too long right now.

I wanted to see what everyone thought here before I did the upgrade. As soon as I give everyone a chance (or at least most of you) to voice out your opinions, I can get this up and running in no time at all.

Two more areas where you can add pictures instead of text could be in the "For Sale" section. Put pictures of Engine/Wheels/Tyres/etc. Secondly separate the regional forums by putting graphical region areas; ie something like this:

The off topic area should be allowed to choose their image in a poll.

Glad you guys like it. Visually, it is far simpler to navigate and tremendously shorter. The only section that may actually grow a little in physical space is the marketplace. Also, while we could, its not absolutely necessary to put a picture with every single section. Just happens to be good for the different car models. Also allows us to join all evos for example under one "Evo" title bar instead of having them as divided as they currently are. Much less confusion that way. The only downside to all this is that when looking at the main forum index, you will not see the most recent thread for ever individual subforum, but rather just one most recent thread for that entire group. If you click on the group as a whole, you will then see the break down

Actually that's not entirely accurate. The Marketplace will be shorter then what it is currently.
