why the hell are there NWS ads? I hope you guys can kinda filter that out cuz im on evom all the time and just "bumped into" that ad. It wasnt cool w/ the boss walking around and seeing that. Just like there are rules about threads having to have a NWS label, i think that ads should also be censored.

 

Which ads? If you can give details of which banners (top, sides, or bottom, which company, etc), an Admin can take care of it. The site uses google ads and on rare occasion something will show up that we don't approve of.

Also, run an anti-ad program such as spybot or adaware on your computer to make sure it wasn't generated on your computer by adware.

 

Most of the time it's spyware.

 

hm...it was an ad from some bikini store. I also saw one from macy's too. Figured it was a way to raise funds, but guess not.

 

Sounds like adware. I've never seen any ads like that come up. Scan your computer with an anti-adware program.

 

no hes definitly right, there is one bikini ad that is on the side sometimes.

I've never seen that one, but I have seen a lady in a nurses uniform form a vendor that isn't exactly work safe......probably something we should look into anyways.

I've been reloading my pages as fast as possible over the last half hour, but have not been able to replicate this ad. Hopefully someone more tech-savvy from Staff can help out

I've seen the thread in OT and am aware that the image does exist, I just have not seen it yet today in my surfing. I don't want NWS images anymore than anybody else does, I'll get the tech guy on it.

It's got to be a Google thing. It's tagged as one of theirs, so I'm sure it's a random thing. I'll make sure the site owners know that this could be causing a problem, and they'll have to address it.
