Question For sale section......

I have been a member for two years now and have gotten a lot of useful information about my car and ideas of what to do. But I never really posted. Do I really have to make 50 pointless posts to put it up for sale now? Do people really think I created this account 2 years ago to just scam people now? :

Yup. Contributing to the forums is part of the requirements to sell here.

Your last post was 2 years ago.....that's clearly not a contributing member of the forum. We've had this discussion over and over; search this forum and you'll find the threads.

I never really posted before because I don't mod my car other than stereo. Didn't really want to bog down the thread with pointless posts. Guess I'll just do my time like everyone else.

The other annoying thing is your posts don't count on half the sections on this forum.

agreed. What if you do not have enough information to feedback others? Search and read? OK, the question is is the info that I read from this forum all correct? IDK, one might be and one might not be. To Mod, you guys are stating that you guys are doing this to prevent all the scammers and stuff, but I really dont see the point? How is making someone post 50+ posts more knowledgeable or trustful? I want explanations.

I will refer you to this thread:

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=213911

Obviously it is an issue, and we try to do all we can to prevent exactly the things that are mentioned in that thread. I have lobbied for a 100 post and 1 year requirement instead of the 30 days/50 posts that we currently have. If anybody else has an idea how we can both help protect our members while allowing items to be sold/traded, I'd like to hear it.

I dont know if its just me or not, someone with a common sense will obviously cannot be fooled like the person on the thread by others. if one individual gets involved with a fraud, and get his money taken away because of his/her own lack of common sense, it should not be generalized. Jez, I am only 22 and a foreigner and could detect when someone/seller is being or sounds fishy, why the hell others cannot? I just think making a rule for noobs like myself suffer is not a solution for protecting members from fraud. I think the security system on the web should be more strict when they are signing up. For example, asking more detailed questions about personal infos. If he/she is not trying to attempt frauds here, they should be more than willing to give their personal infos to the mods only if those infos could be protected and not be shared with others other than mods. I personally suggest this idea because i happen to work on IT industry here in Boston. I would not say my company is the "top" company, but it is one of the largest financing companies in the world. tell me what you think about the idea mods.
