I Give Up!!! I'm still not posting Pics of my tint or radar detector, and saying that its something that makes my car stand out. I would understand if it was a custom two tone tint job or something like that.
Wouldn't it be logical if they put that stuff under their comments?

Well to each his own naturally. I just can't see anything wrong with it personally.

I use comments to tell people what IS going on my car in the near future. ...Then again I always forget to update and half the **** on there's been there for almost a year.

you just kinda threw a rock at a hornets nest.

you're commin on here and trying to convince a bunch of guys that like to work on their cars that its useless unless it meets your definition of funcionable.

its just an argument that isn't going to be won either way

everyone has different opinions, different likes and dislikes, and different styles. You can't go around criticizing everyone for not being the same. If some guy wants to list his cable as a mod then whats the big deal? its his list, and yea a lot of people have done it, but a lot of people have changed their head unit too. I'd figure its safet os ay 95% of people have changed h/u's, but everyone still lists it as a mod.

You have your mod list, I'll have mine. hows that sound?

okay you win. I'll add the radar detector, the mesh grille, the window tint, the decals, and the hiper white bulbs, ect. I just wanted to know if people frowned on stuff thats noticable from the pics that are irrelevent to the overall opinion of the veiwer.

I don't understand why this post is even here. Sure, I agree that a sticker on the window is nothing too many people really are going to care about or care to even know probably but, to each there own. All people on this forum are on different levels of knowledge. Meaning : To each there own! One mod to one guy may not be to another.

He wanted to get a feel for what was acceptable. Reasonable enough imo.

ok, it's true that some people who don't care much about cars do stuff like tinting, but I do think it's a mod. 1, it costs money. 2, it cools the inside. 3, it is a definite show mod. Take a car without window tint to any car show and see what the judges say. As for the throttle tightening, it changes how the car functions. I did it to mine, but I agree with that it's not significant, so I didn't list it. Yeah, stickers are probably silly to list, they are free (usually) and only contain words. Graphics kits, pin striping, etc. however, I would consider to be show mods, and worth listing. Of course, these are all my own opinions, and I try to respect the opinions of others. BTW, if your grandma tightens her throttle cable and tints her windows, she's cool in my book

btw, I have always wondered if expendable items should be listed as mods. I don't think I will ever list brake pads, tires, and spark plugs as mods, but once again, whatever floats your boat.

I'm gonna list my wideband O2, and it's expendable.

You can always delete and change your brake pad info when you change pads.

I've changed wheels and tires twice now.

This thread has has inspired me to remove all my bulbs listed individually in my registry into one. It really does seem more logical to me that way.

well since you're freeing up some server space, maybe I'll list the left and right shoulder pads seperately (j/k)
