What would you like me to do about it? Merge them all into one thread or throw them all into Newbie/FAQ forum? I'm asking because I'd like to know. I imagine if I did the latter, the folks in FAQ would get a bit mad.

A section or stickied thread where "Newbies" can make themselves feel better about the price they are paying for a car by asking random poeple would be great. It does not even have to be EVO X specific it can be about any car purchase. I am sure there are lots of people on here that can tell them that it is a horrible deal and tell them to beat the dealer up more over $100, I am just tired of coming into EVO X General and seeing the forum cluttered up with them.

Also I am so sick of seeing the word "stealership" but I dont know if there is anything you can do about that.

Thanks

well they all belong in the NEWB section... I mean not everyone on this site is a veteran or a car wiz hence the reason why they come on here. I know when I started foruming, I did all of the above with my previous car although over in that forum, they were understanding.

If member's flag them (via the reported post function), we will review and move to the newbie forum if appropriate. However, regardless of where the question is asked, a helpful, patient answer is a better welcome mat than a terse response. A new member's first interaction on the site is important as it can influence his/her subsequent behaviour here. If you are angered by the 4,594,499 thread titled 'Which BOV should I get?' then either report it or let it go. Allow another member to answer the question or provide a helpful link.

In the absence of a quality and search-able FAQ data base, we are going to have to field those questions. I wish we had the time and resources to create a data base similar to the old 'DSM 1000 question/answer' data base. It was a wonderful source of info for me when I bought my first Mitsu. ('94 TSI Talon).

Thanks.

I have just noticed that some other forums have a section entitled "Car buying, pricing, ordering" that would be nice for this forum and maybe the new people can get more help from that then just posting in EVO X General. What do you think?
