Search

Search seems to suck for me big time on here ever since the last update 3 or 4 months ago. It's impossible to find anything any more , i'm resorting to actually searching through google putting "evolutionm" as one of the search criteria.
Every time i try to search for something common that should generate a lot of results, i dunno, like headlights or head lights or "head lights" or "headlights" i get like 4 results and they are from 2005 and 2004. What the hell????

Do you have a better example? I just searched for headlights and it returned over 250 results.

Try using quotation marks. It usually improves the results.

If i go here https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sa...d-styling-133/
and use "search this forum" drop-down search box on the top right hand and enter:
"head lights" (with quotation marks), i get 4 results, one from 2009 (date of last post) and three from 2005.
"headlights" (with quotation marks), i get one result.

Drop the s and you'll get better results. I'll let IB know about this.

Since there are several existing threads about searching issues I won't start another one.

I just wanted to suggest that the results should be sorted by relevance by default rather than by "last posting date". "Sort by relevance" provides the best results but I'm forced to use the advanced search to select this option.

It was set to default to sort by date after the massive amount of complaints we got when it was sorted by relevance. Most people on the site prefer it to be sorted by date, makes it easier to find recent threads.
