Question Canadian forum?

hi webmaster/moderator

it could be a good idea to add a "Canada" forum in the "Lancer Forums | Online Community -> Regional Forums" section, because starting Sep 1st, Mitsubishi will be available in Canada. As for the US you have different sections regrouping different states, you could also regroup some for Canada, 4 should be enough, like BC/YU ; AB/SK/MB/NWT ; ON/PQ ; NF/PEI/NS/NB ; what do you think of this idea?

There's already the official mitsu webpage at http://www.mitsubishicars.ca and some vendors like http://www.autolinq.com/mitsubishilaval/ (this one is in Québec)

starting in september, certainly a lot of canadian will come to this board, as it looks like it is the best one "aboot" the lancer and its modifications!

thanks to take my input into considerations

Wasn't Canada the 51st state of the US??? belongs to the NW forum??? J/K

It's nice to know about the Mitsu will be available in Canada and I am sure Mark (KK) will consider your suggestion if there's demand to it.

Yeah, I don't think anyone brought this up yet simply because we don't have many active members from Canada. If there's going to be a big influx I'm certain KK would have no problem adding the forum.

That's great that is coming to Canada!

Here's what I'll do right now:

I'll add a Canda forum and as it gets more popular we can expand that to sectors.

Congrats on the up-and-coming Canda forum

Has Mitsubishi NEVER been offered up there? What about importing cars from the US? I was always under the impression we had similar regulations.

true, I don't know if mitsu was here YEARS ago, but the only mitsu we can see in Canda come from the US, second hand cars... but now it's official, the PR is here http://www.mitsubishicars.ca/press_r..._overview.html

Very interesting. I KNEW I'd seen Mitsus up there last I went (new year's 2001). I'm amazed I remember anythingfrom that trip.

Actually, at one time there was an independent tryout Mitsu dealership in Edmonton. They were also willing and able to bring in Evo VI RS-2 into Canada delivered to your door for around $70,000 Canadian. Too bad I didn't have the money at that time.

FYI here's the list of mitsubishi cars we can have actually in canada
http://www.tc.gc.ca/roadsafety/impor...h/im3mit_e.htm
and as you can see, the US lancer 2002 is inadmissible... for now...

when mitsu will start to sell their cars directly here, we will be able to have the 2002 lancer, don't know which mods they had to do on them, certainly bumpers, child tether anchorage, things like this...
