Site Connection Probs

Anybody else have problems loading website recently? Sometimes it loads just the main page and when I click a link it says "Site is not responding." I just want to know if anyone else is experiencing the same thing.

Btw, I'm on Windows 7 Ultimate.

Its the Windows 7

Actually, we are aware of this issue and are working on it right now.

Make sure you are also not using the 64-bit Internet Explorer as I've noticed this to cause problems with quite a few websites. I myself have not had any problems viewing this site while using Windows 7 Ultimate.

I have been experiencing it also. I don't really mind considering the sheer size of the community and the leisure it allows me.

That's not completely correct. The only difference between 64bit IE and 32bit IE is that the 64bit version requires you to have 64bit versions of plugins (i.e. flash player). Otherwise, they are identical except that the 64bit version has the capability of using more than 2GB of memory. But this doesn't matter as much with IE8 because of the fact that it's a multi-process browser now, whereas IE7 ran under a single process.

Thanks for clarifying that Smike. I thought it was my connection for a sec.

Btw, the problem occurs when pretty much doing anything on the website. Clicking links, pressing back, trying to go to a new topic. Then it ends up not loading the website but, gives me the "Connection problem" message.

No ETA at this point, but IB is working on it. Mods/off-site Admins are just as unable to use the site as everyone else.
