Why do members get deleted if....

They choose to disclose a negative experience? Just noticed this happens, I cant really speak for others but I myself would like to know the good and the BAD. I work really hard for my money and would really like to not waste my time with a bad shop. Thanks

Yes I have looked at this.....but as the rules state:

Contact the business and express you complaint to try to resolve.

If this fails and they are an EvoM vendor, contact an Admin, and we will attempt to validate and mediate. Your thread will be removed if you skip this step.

If all fails, follow the guidline below for how to make a negative review

Guidlines for a negative review:

First hand experiences only. No "I saw this about them" or "My friend" stories.

State the facts, all of them. If there is another side to the story that you are leaving out, this may result in the review being removed or you looking dumb when the business responds.
I have seen this take place and as everyone says there are 2 sides to every story, but (and I mean a BIG but) how do you know who is telling the honest truth? It just seems that more noe then in the past there are people trying to voice there experinces and after the shop replies there thread eaither gets locked or deleted. So there is no way to ever know what happened.

Do not post a link for a review or thread from another site as your review

Try to leave emotion out of it where possible.

No name calling or bashing

If the matter can be resolved, state that and how. This improves you odds of getting it resolved

If the matter does get resolved, be sure to incude that in your original post

Im just asking and stating these questions for the respect of other members out there and myself. The admin have EXTREME control on how a situation could get handled and I know you do not want to loose the money the sponsers pay to EVOM, but after the past year just reading on here and whatching it change it seems to me that nothing ever gets resolved, and always rest on the EVO owners shoulders. And Im not saying there arent people out there abusing there cars becuase Im sure there is.

I understand. We do our best to act as a mediator to help resolve disputes with the goal of a mutual solution. However, we have neither the time nor a method for discovering facts versus fabrication. It is a balance of member expectations for access to up to date factual information and a vendor's expectation to accurate factual information being posted about their business. The mutual 'service disagreement' is never black and white.

The stakes are high for a vendor and anyone can post anything. It doesn't even have to true. In fact we have had instances of reviews that were 100% fabrication. Many times negative reviews are posted to 'punish' a vendor because of a disagreement or poor communications. The facts are embellished and accusations unfounded. So we ask member's to provide additional info concerning a negative experience. What you may consider unresolved in many cases WAS resolved with private discussions between the member, vendor and moderator mediation. We have over 200 vendor's on this site and over the last ten years, there are VERY few examples of any consciously ripping off our members. In the rare instances where a vendor is woefully not meeting the expectations of our members, they are removed. If you have a specific example of a commercial issue with one of our vendors, please PM me the details. Thanks and Happy New Year!

I think they have really started to take care of that issue. Do some research and read up on D&G Motors, all the horror stories and bad feedback. Eventually they were removed as an EvoM vendor at the request of many and the mods made a smart decision (and the right one) by letting them go.

Moderators do protect the customers as well as the vendors. There are just far more times that a member will bash a vendor for no reason than a vendor will slip up and cause a serious problem for members. That is why you read more about members getting penalized for actions than vendors, because there are probably 10 times more infractions and wrongdoings on our part.

If you have a specific issue, PM a mod or admin, they are here to help you too. Talk to them.

I'll add one thing to this. Every single moderator on staff was a member for months/years before becoming a moderator. Heck, we're still members and enthusiasts of the forum first and foremost before we are moderators. We've seen it from both sides of the table...and to be honest, we are as neutral in these situations as one could be because it can get ugly for vendors with false accusations from customers. And, it can get ugly for members when there is a bad-apple vendor (J-Ondemand from back in the day, DG Motors most recently).
