Exclamation Private Messages unread notification not working?

I've noticed for the second time in two weeks that the Private Messages unread messages notification does not appear to be working. I clicked into my Private Messages today, and there were two private messages unread, however the status in the top right hand corner of the screen is showing zero unread.

I checked this on all three browsers I have installed on my machine, and it is consistent across them. (All on OS X 10.6.2)
- Safari 4.0.4
- Chrome 5.0.307.11 beta
- Firefox 3.6

Hi and thank you for the feedback. Are you sure you reloaded the window and cache had cleared? In other words you could have two windows open at two different times. One before you read the message and the other one after. I have done that in the past. Thanks.

Hi,

If it happens again, please 'refresh' the page. Let me know if the inconsistency remains. Thanks.

Bob, when I encountered the issue, i went through the process of opening up the site and logging in with each of the three browsers, so I'm pretty certain it wasn't a mistake on my part. What's odd is that I read the two PMs I had, and a few minutes later I received an email notification of a new message - which I'd not received in the previous couple weeks...

If it happens again, I'll make a point of letting you know and not reading my PMs so that you can examine it in situ.

This has been happening to me for the past week. No new PM email notifications, and also the notifications shows 0. I had to go into my PM's to see that there were some unread.

Took me a while to catch on.

I'm seeing the same thing off and on. I'll ask for some IT help. Thanks.
