Is Ban-by-Thread feasible?

In view of the latest hijacking of the Pesto360 thread and its closure, thus losing easy access to great wealth of otherwise awesome information contained therein, is it possible to ban offending members at a thread level so that at least we do not lose out on the info?

Gotta love run-on sentences...

Interesting question. It would be kind of useful, as you have made pretty clear.

Actually yes, infact we CAN make that happen. We already have that feature installed.

So why was then Pesto360 thread closed instead of just having THE offending party banned? Oh well, I guess I know the answer to that question and I will give the mods the benefit of the doubt. I would like to know, however, that they - the mods - are not playing any favourites as it was just TOO damn obvious in that thread who was doing all the hating...

Well, each Moderator has their own decision on how they handle each situation. For example that Pesto thread, timzcat decided to close it since it's obviously getting cluttered with all the trolls in that thread. I agree it would've been useful if we used the thread ban feature particularly in that thread OR just simply deleted the troubling posts, but then again like I said each Moderator has their own decision on how they handle things.

If you mean deleting a certain individuals post, then yes, we can.

I found it amazing how timzcat banned me from one of the threads...then cancelled my other one..which youre right...had valuable info and pictures that took me forever to put up with the help of designmonfx...now I dont see any of Als being banned and i still see his "rich jerk" comments up...I guess some moderators have selective banning

Please point out the post to the moderator(s) of that forum or a super mod if you feel that's the case. It may just be that the moderator did not read the entire thread. We do our what we can to treat everyone fairly and equally across the board.
