Is it that much fun getting banned? Site suggestion and feedback is for just that. Suggestions and feedback on the site including staff, content and related issues. If you absolutely feel the need to start a complaint about a staff member please do so in a different thread. I think it would be to everyone's benefit if we kept this one on topic.

It's happened to me before. I solved the problem. At least he got the TV. I had nothing.

The life comment was in regard to the string of PMs I was receiving prior to the creation of this thread.

I think he means create your own forums, not a forum withing Evolutionm. Anyway...I'm going to bed. I've had enough PM's for 3 weeks in the past 72 hours.

Guys, I think the problem is that the posts were directed to sti killer and it was never in any review sort of way. I understand you all want your situation resolved and none of us are against that.

Keep in mind that Hobie has kept the most posts alive, but closed. That allows your message (w/ details and info) to be viewed throughout the forums, but after 140+ replies and multiple threads, I think it's clear it's a topic that was getting out of hand and taking away from the forum.

As for those such as treehugger, we have dealt with them on there issues privately and he has received warnings for his violations due to the extent of them.

I don't really know the details of what transactions occured, but short of contacting sti killer, our forums will just allow to you tell the story so others know and leave him negative feedback as well. I wish we had the ability to do more on that end, but the sad thing is these things can happen to anyone.

I hope you guys get whatever you were entitled to, but I ask that you please don't post any additional threads on this topic for the purpose of contacting sti killer. If you need the help of members in the area, then feel free to post for that, but the whole pms through the forums just isn't working out very well.

Regards,

Mark

YellowFever,

Your going to be giving Sti Killer an ultimatum and if he doesn't meet it, you will continue to post all over the boards. That's not going to get your parts back. I suggest posting a thread in the regional forums asking for local member's help. I'm sure there's a few people who know him or are in the area and may be able to help resolve the situation better than the posts on our forums at this point.

I'm not against you telling the story and trying to get help. I just don't want another group of flame war threads to start up and take away from everything else in the forums, that's all. If you want to make this a personal war between you and Sti Killer, you have the right to, but not within these forums.

Mark

I'm a local member. I offered help. Joel, I'm assuming a refund would also be considered acceptable?

BTW, could you please PM me the make and model of the TV?

like i said before, i will also do whatever i can to help. another solution that i thought about is simply to ask Gino to give you $25 back and i will get you your harness.

please let me know if there is anything i can do to help and get this issue solved once and for all. Joel, i would also take Hobie and mark's advice and post a review on the transaction simply to prevent anyone else from dealing with this guy but not as a personal attack.

Crap, Andrew.......you must really have the love for staying with this. How you and Paul keep coming back and attempting to solve these petty disputes and complaints from ungrateful people who don't know the meaning of words like "volunteer," don't realize the scope of the work you undertake, and attack you because you don't treat this like a full-time job, is completely beyond me. I salute you.

Which is precisely why no one should be buying product from unregistered vendors on this site.

There is no recourse if some Joe shmoe decides to sell parts here. That is why the Registered Vendors have to apply with a valid business tax id#. That gives you recourse if you are ripped off. You can call BBB...You can sue... If you are buying new parts from some kid in his parents basement and the deal flakes out, you have NO recourse.

I think I mentioned it in the other thread, but here's the FBI link to report internet fraud.
