Just got a mess of Trojan's and Malware from here.
This only happened to me one time, but Norton blocked it.
Here is info about the event:
* I wasn't logged in.
* I was on the front page of this website, I clicked on a thread under the "Latest Threads" section.
* Norton popped up and blocked some type of virus.
You can see my screen capture on the previous page in this thread. It logged the time and the forum thread I went to.
The second time I was at the front page logged in.
I also got hit this morning too.

I've had many...mostly from searching through google and IE 9(which sucks by the way, don't download it) but also once through a search through the forum and clicking on a thread.
I'm positive I have no viruses, and can't do a restore because I have SSDs(no windows back up).
I just use my iPhone can't hurt that...haha

Don't use Internet Explorer, you're just asking for it.
Chrome or Firefox are much safer. Also they work better overall.
Plus using an Antivirus like Avast! Scans incoming/outgoing connections when you click things like that "Plugin Update", will then stop the malicious connection and warn you.
Even with the free protection they offer.

hmm.
Interesting indeed, as I've only had this problem using Firefox and Chrome, when landing on an Evom link through a google search while not being logged in.
I have IE8 setup to block known malicious hosts and links as I come across them.
The main differences between being logged in and not is that there is a splash of ads between cerain posts as well as an ad after thread title, before first post.
Avira warns, picks it up and tosses it away for me nicely
