New guys guide to all that is..................
I would like to see a change in the site... a helpfull request for the newer, younger people that dont take the time themselves to read all the stickies .....
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...faqs-forum-61/
i think it would cut down alot of already asked and answered questions. if some how when opening new account they are required to read all stickies in the newbie section. especially maybe a video of how to search. this would be especially helpfull for those individuals that the EVO is their 1st car and/or have no prior knowledge of anything automotive to avoid questions like " how do you change wiper blades or how do you unscrew antenna?". just a suggestion.
This is sarcasm, not intended as a request or site feed back. This is aimed at those that fail to use the tools given to them in order for them to use the site as it was designed.

Remember that rather annoying song that lists a bunch of things as being "ironic" when they are all just bummers, instead? I'm reminded of this, because the above is truly ironic. You are complaining about people not using the site correctly by making a "site feedback and suggestion" post in the "Evo X general forum."

it was done on purpose, since those that need it would never look there. I know where i should have posted it, but was not intended as a True request or site feed back. But now that it has been moved to the place it " should have gone" it will not target the ones that need it. Since they never look in other places. I am not dumb nor did i accidently place it in wrong spot when i was preaching about not using the forum correctly. if you would have read the bottom you could have realized who it was for not where it should have gone.
i was trying to generally help the newbies try to help themselves, since we all know they dont read or search on their own. they go right to the given section and then the flaming begins....

Based on the bold red and black text with a lack of attention to grammar. You made it hard for anyone to decipher whatever it was you meant.
You're wrong under the assumption that mo...., I mean newbies, are going to read a thread titled "Dear MODS" in the first place.
What makes you think they read Evo X General first? I don't think they do. They look at the sections that interest them most. Power and pretty parts that do nothing (Show and Shine).
Another assumption is that they even want to search and read. Might just be lazy, want it feed to them, and/or dropped as a child.

Smike.... i understand. i fixed the grammer to better suit the topic covered. i figured of the likely place that a newbie may look at would be in General. BUt they get all upset when people flame then, then bs starts to be posted and the info wanted even though is probably available, wont be posted since their fustration level (laziness), exceeds their needs. i was simply trying to help the ones you speak of with out the flame suit required sessions.

Thank you.
Age of forum, time car has been out, age of forum member. These are all factors to how much or little a person will do on a subject. Those who are good at gaining information do or post with specific questions. Those who want to be feed, want just that - canned answers. We get tired of answering over and over again.
Best thing you can do in those threads is just not respond.

^This is wise advice. We should also remember what it is like to be completely new to forums in general. Some people are not familiar with the workings of a forum, and honestly don't know how to do a proper search. Others figure they are on the internet and don't read everything word for word when they are looking for a couple quick answers (stickies). Regardless, we should all avoid flaming them for not knowing better. It's easier to not respond or to take the time to explain why search is the best option for them.
