Can you say "CONFLICT OF INTEREST" here?

Anyone who has followed my posts in the past knows i have not been a fan of "al".

First of all, I was surprised to see that he was finally held accountable. I cannot deny that I am not a tad happy about this although it seemed the guy was becoming less beligerent recently. All of the that was spoiled by the fact that I noticed that a mod for the thread was Shiv, a vendor- WTF!

I have nothing against him or any of the vendors. They are just trying to build their businesses. It troubles me deeply though that the site is so compromised that it allows a vendor on the site to "mod" the demise of a rival...

Can you say "CONFLICT OF INTEREST" here? Business ethics 101. It is not a reflection on the vendor as much as the bankrupt forum for hire policies of this site.

Please... just try to justify how you can expect any objectivity here with crap like this going on. Vendors shouldn't be mods and trying to sell product at the same time. You want to give them a space to contribute, great. I have to conclude either one of two options:

A) The site is a shameless place to ***** product

B) The site mods do not have clue about even the most basic standards in business ethics.

I am not bashing the site- step up and clean this place up. Al was a start but nepotism and institutionalising conflicts of interest are just weak and will continue to make this site more and more irrelevant...

I'm the moderator of the Vishnu forum. Just as David is of the Works forum, Dan of the VividRacing forum, etc,. Did you want the job? It requires a lot of tech support but it does have its moments.

regards
shiv (no 'e' at the end)

The vendors are only moderators of their particular forum. Beyond that, they do not moderate any other forums of EvoM.

Correction on mods...

I stand corrected. I guarantee that others have the same notion, mistaken though it may be. Thanks for clearing this matter up.

It would be nice to see evolutionm.net become a more usable site that provides some real value and information to the evo/lancer crowd and less of a flame fest...

Good start at a turnaround...
(killed the 'e')
