Any thoughts on doing a Car of The Month feature on this site? You could have a thread for nominating a car for the next months competition and then your Mods could come in and pick 5 to be in the running for it. Then make a new thread starting the 1st of said month with a poll for us all to vote on.

You could run different themes for the feature like:

Best (color specific) evo, example (june: best EB, july: best RR and so on...)
Best stance
Best track car
Best engine bay
Best interior

You could also make it generation specific for JUST a VII or VIII as well. Gives you lots of options.

And so on and so on...

I feel it is a great idea, we just need help from the community to conduct it. The Evom moderators have a pretty full plate with this very active community. Are there members willing to give up some of their personal time to run Car of the Month contest? Thanks.

How could I do this? I'd be willing.

 

It takes one or two people to define the contest each month (i.e. best interior) etc. If you are willing, perhaps one more member would be willing to share the job to help cover periods of time when the other one is not available. Generally, a thread is opened inviting members to submit (post) their pictures over a two week time period. The thread is then closed and a pole is inserted allowing members to vote for one week and a winner is chosen. Do you know a better approach?

I like that. This way people can nominate themselves or another members car. Then when the poll is up with the new thread, you can have a link to each car's show n shine page with more details about each. This will keep it nice and clean.
